Insurance Plans & Hospitals Insurance El Rio OB/GYN Associates accept most insurance plans, including HMOs and AHCCCS plans. We will need each patient's insurance information when calling to schedule an appointment. Our staff will verify patient insurance benefits. If a patient does not have insurance coverage, payment will be expected at time of service. Our business office would assist in making payment arrangements. Patient payments may be made by cash, check or credit card. Many insurance companies prohibit practice physicians from treating a patient without an appropriate referral. If the patient's plan requires a referral, they will need to have it called into our office ahead of time or brought with them in order to see a physician. New patients will need to bring their medical records, medicines, referral from their primary care physician, insurance cards and their co-payment or deductible to their first appointment. We Offer OB Contracts Federal Emergency contract is $500.00 Self Pay contract is $2,500,  if paid prior to delivery a 20% discount is given.   Contracts include: Prenatal visits at El Rio OB/Gyn offices. First ultrasound (sonogram) in office. Prenatal vitamins and iron at El Rio Health Center's Laboratories. Routine Prenatal Laboratory test drawn at El Rio Health Centers Laboratories.  Fetal Nonstress Test (as needed) El Rio OB/Gyn Physican's delivery service in the hospital. Postpartum visit. Services Not included in Ob contracts: Hospital stay for the Mother Hospital stay for the Newborn Anesthesia Ultrasounds (sonogram) deemed not medically necessary. Medical care obtained outside of El Rio OB/Gyn's physicians or El Rio Health Center's facilities, including assistant surgical fees.
